HOW IT WORKS:
This is a 100% ONLINE competition. Contestants submit 1-3 photos of themselves via email, complete online entry form and reserve local or state title by paying the appropriate fees which includes the title of your choice, Official American Star Pageants tiara, satin sash and sash pin. Once you receive your tiara and sash you can begin making your appearances and earn points towards the competition.
Areas of Competition:
Beauty- (60% )Delegates photos will be judged on photogenic appeal and facial beauty.
150 Word Essay/Bio-(20%) Delegates will be judged on creativity and achievement(personal and/or academic). Bio will be displayed on or website and may be used in advertising.
Personal Appearances and Community Service:(20%)- Contestants will receive points throughout their reign for any public appearance they make wearing their official crown and sash. Points can also be earned for referrals to our pageant. (1 point is awarded for each appearance and 2 points for each referral who enters our pageant). Photos of appearances are required for each appearance and will be displayed on our website. Referrals will be listed on contestants profile.
Parents with children under the age of 8 may write their child's Bio/Essay. Otherwise, they may only assist with grammar and spelling.
After the deadline has passed, all applications will be reviewed by at least 3 qualified judges. The contestants with the highest scores in their state & division become our titleholders.Winners will be announced on our website and prizes mailed out following the announcements. Winners will also be notified via email. All judges decisions are FINAL. In the event of a tie, an additional judge will be called in to judge the contestants involved and will rank them accordingly.
Nationals:
State winners will have entry fees paid in FULL to National Pageant. All State winners must submit a photo in their official American Star Pageants crown and Sash by deadline. Photos will be advertised on website and will display their winning bio/essay. Photos can be taken with a digital camera or may be professionally done by a photographer. Photos are the responsibility of each state delegate and not of American Star Pageants.
Judging Criteria for Nationals is as Follows:

Emailed Question-(20%)State winners will all receive a "final question" via email. Answers will be judged and displayed on our website under each delegates profile.
